|
| Indications |
| During the cataract surgery ,the Capsular Tension Ring is implanted to stablize and recenter the capsular bag in the following cases: |
| Local missing or damaged zonules(>145;4-5hours).
Genaralized zonular weakness demonstrated by iridonesis and /or phacodonesis.
Local or generalized zonular weakness without obvious iridonesis or phacodonesis
Lens subluxation induced by trauma or discease states such as marfan's syndrome or pseudoexfoliation.
Improper stablization of the capsular bag by using normal style of capsular tension rings.
Anterior or posterior subluxation of cataract.
Decentration of a lens in the bag IOL caused by dehiscene of zonules. |
| Contraindications: |
|
| Incomplete or noncontinious anterior capsulorhexis.
Posterior capsule tear. |
