Sterilization
Any method namely dry heat, autoclaving & E.T.O gas can be used to sterilize the punch

The cornea is placed over the Teflon block and the donor button is then punched out.

The lens has four suture struts around its peripheral edge. Once the sutures are placed the lens/cornea interface acts as a seal and provides a closed system for a vitrectomy procedure.
